MANERS FOR RECITATIONS

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحيمِ

The Holy Qur’an is the speech of Allah(SWT) revealed to His Prophet Muhammad(SAW) in clear Arabic tongue recited by Muslims during prayers and other times.

“Verily, this revelation is from the Lord of the Worlds(192) With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth(193) To your heart and mind that you may admonish(194) In the perspicuous Arabic tongue(195)” 
                                                                    (Surah 26: 192-195)

 Manners of Reciting the Qur’an

The following points are preferably to be followed while reciting the Qur’an:

To have wudu(ablution)
To recite in a clean pure  place
To seek refuge in Allah from Shaitan (Satan) the outcast by  saying: ‘Auhu billahi minash-shaitanir-rajiim.
Always say the Basmalah(Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem) in the opening of each surah, except for Surah At-Tawba.
 To recite with Tarteel (using the rules of Tajweed)
To reflect and ponder upon the verses where the heart and mind should be
concentrated on the meanings.
To beautify the voice, recite in reasonably high tone without disturbing persons around.
When one ends should supplicate to Allah.
